EQuity, Diversity and Inclusion
As BC’s tourism and hospitality industry navigate the post-pandemic recovery phase, workplace culture and practices are evolving to be more equitable, diverse and inclusive, which is an important element in sustainable labour recovery.
go2HR has embarked on an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiative to further round out our existing offerings (Safer Spaces and the Mental Health Hub) aimed at creating respectful workplaces.
- Raise awareness in the tourism and hospitality industry of the need to enhance workplaces to be more equitable, diverse and inclusive to better align with today’s societal and job-seeker values
- Empower BC tourism and hospitality employers to grow equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace cultures
- Support EDI development in workplaces through increased education and training
The EDI Resource Hub is currently being developed as a place where tourism and hospitality employers can visit for templates, resources, and training that supports safe spaces and strong workplaces to create more respectful workplaces.
We are seeking to create a HUB that is far more than just policies, procedures and staff composition. Our goal is to curate essential topics for employers to consider through hiring, retention and corporate culture conversations. EDI sets the tone of your workplace for staff, customers and stakeholders.
