Accommodation

Accommodation is one of the largest sectors in the tourism industry.

In 2018, approximately 37,600 workers were employed in hotels and other lodging operations in British Columbia.  With a projected rate of annual employment growth of 1.4 per cent, there will be 14,600 job openings in the next 10 years (2018 – 2028). Accommodation sector accounts for 12% of tourism jobs, and 14% of forecast new job openings.
