Job Description

Job Title:

Laundry Attendant– Twin Anchors Houseboats Vacations

Job Function:

Prepares, cleans, picks up and delivers laundry in accordance with our Quality System. Assists with cleaning around different areas of the property as required

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sorts, pre-treats, washes, dries, folds, and delivers laundry to housekeeping and houseboats

Ensure washers and dryers operate correctly

Follows checklists to ensure completion of scheduled tasks within the allotted time frame

Reports washer and dryer machine issues to the maintenance department

Maintain inventory levels

Maintain laundry supplies

Ensures that area is kept clean and is well maintained

Replaces missing inventory

Maintain a professional image through appearance and dress

Clean and maintain all marina public and employee washrooms

Performs other duties or support to co-workers as the pressures dictate within the Twin Anchors environment

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Basic knowledge of general laundry cleaning principles uses laundry products, and operation of standard laundry equipment

Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads of laundry

Ability to Stand and walk for 6 to 8 hours a day

Ability to lift and pull between 30lbs and 50lbs of bags of laundry and move them with a wagon to various houseboats

Experience working in a team environment

Ability to work flexible hours and days

Preferred Knowledge/Experience:

Hospitality/Tourism or related experience

ISO training or knowledge

*Must currently be legally able to work in Canada*
